Monarch Dental - bad for health?

Hey folks,
Searching for a dentist here in San Antonio that won't break the
bank. Now, I've called a few places and got all kinds of prices.
Everything from $300 (independent) to $60 (Monarch). Of course,
Monarch sounds like a good deal--cleaning + x-rays for only $60 with a
coupon. Is there a catch? Is Monarch known as the McDonalds of
dentistry? Should I stay away from them?

Thanks for any insight.
P.S> How much should I be paying for annual checkup and cleaning for
teeth that have not been cleaned in over a year? Thanks.
