Hi, I am getting an apicoectomy next week above tooth #10.
I was curious about the general healing time for these procedures. Is it
days or weeks? I know it takes awhile for the bone to grow back (months), but
was wondering how long I should stick to soft foods.
I was also curious what steps I might take to assist this tooth in healing?
Warm salt water rinses, avoid brushing the area...vitamin therapy.

Yes, it could be fractured, but usually in an endodontically-treated tooth you would have pain when luxating back and forth, as the fracture tears into the periodontal membrane. ... This is generally an easy area to graft if there is insufficient bone, so it's likely you can still get an implant despite the history, in the event the tooth has to come out. ... (sci.med.dentistry)
