We aren't talking about a 'cleaning' (know as a prophy). We
are talking about 'deep cleaning' (known as scaling and root
planing).

Patient presents with moderate periodontal (gum) disease and has
pockets measuring 3-6 mm that bleed with lots of sub-gingival
calculus (tartar).

Local anesthetic is almost always given and it takes TIME to
remove ALL of the calculus and leave clean, smooth root surfaces.

You're trying to blame us (and the rest of the dental profession)
because you might have been scammed.

I am not responsible for the behavior of other dentists, especially
in CA.
