NTI Protocol:
Diagnosis and Prevention of TM Parafunction Disorders
A full-day, hands-on course presented by Jim Boyd, DDS, developer of
the NTI therapeutic protocol. Attendees are welcome to bring a patient.
Class size is limited to allow for a more intimate setting.
Migraine: a TM Disorder:
Therapeutic Use of Botox® in the Dental Practice
Immediately following the NTI Therapeutic Protocol course, neurologist
Andrew Blumenfeld, MD, provides a full-day course on the nature of migraine,
how it is affected and modified by TM disorders, and where dentistry can
best fit into the therapeutic picture. The second half of the course focuses
on Botox's therapeutic properties, including hands-on instruction and
guidance with Dr. Blumenfeld. Attendees are welcome to bring a patient.
Class size is limited to allow for a more intimate setting.
Both of these lectures will be limited in class size in order to
emphasize a Hands-On experience using the NTI and Botox®.
DAY ONE
a.. Practical anatomy and purpose of the TM system
b.. Parafunctional activity and its consequences
c.. Diagnosing the source of signs and symptoms;
d.. Identifying and applying the critical difference between
occlusion and occluding
e.. NTI therapeutic protocol. Hands-on training emphasizing the
common oversights and how to avoid (or rectify) them whether you're
providing an NTI "direct" device, or
Keller Lab's NTI-plus
DAY TWO
a.. Basics of the trigeminally-mediated headache disorders
b.. Migraine pathophysiology and how the NTI bridges the gap between
medicine and dentistry
c.. Becoming your neurologist's most relied on referral
d.. Hands-On Botox® administration
Attendees will receive 10 NTI devices at the conclusion of the course,
as well as being supplied with the Botox® to be used during the hands-on
training session.
The Botox® Dental lecture encompasses all aspects of Botox® treatment
and particularly its role in dentistry.
The dental conditions for which Botox® treatments can be used, that
fall within the Dental Practice Act will be covered in detail.
The workshop allows the attendee to inject a guest of their choosing,
or a fellow attendee with expert guidance.
The faculty consists of: Andrew Blumenfeld MD, the leading expert and
trainer in the use of Botox®, and James P. Boyd, DDS, the developer of the
NTI therapeutic protocol and recognized expert in the nature of masticatory
parafunction.
The combination of these experts allows the audience to experience the
full potential of this new dental treatment option.
Course tuition: $1700 for the two days.
Individual day courses can be attended.
NTI Protocol: $700 (includes 10 NTI devices upon completion)

educational administration)
