I'm 48 and yes have always had bad teeth. When I was in my mid teens I
had an accident and my front 4 teeth were knocked out and 2 damaged.
The dentist did a great job by placing a bridge in that has lasted
approx. 30yrs but it is now my problem. One of the "anchors" in my
bridge came loose or disconnected/broke away about a yr ago. The
bridge was loose but not too loose and I managed. A few months ago the
second of three anchors has become loose. Of course I have no idea but
this anchor feels a bit different in the gum area. Over the course of
the past years I've had teeth extracted to reduce cost. My three
daughters have beautiful teeth, I made sure of that. I have very few
teeth, eating is extremely difficult and it's time to get dentures.
I've read horrible things about how your looks change, how they are
painful and how they never really fit. What I would like to know is,
can a bridge be repaired and some form of denture placed around it? If
I have my bottom front teeth (6) repaired what type of partial would
be best? Thanks

Don't feel bad. I just got mine & still am having issues with getting my mouth
to accept them but they really improve my appearance but eating still is a
difficult chore to accomplish.
