Granted all jobs could in some respect be considered assembly-line

Another moronic and assinine statement.

Really?, all jobs involve producing a product, and payment is related
to production of that product. Think of a screenwriter or an author
like Stephen King who has to produce the next hit. Do you get payed to
go on vacation?
What do you produce? Fillings, root canals, etc and you even have a
drill just like an autoline worker.

Let's see wasn't there a discussion about how denistry evolved from
barber shops earlier on this list. Can you see
the assembly line aspect to hair cutting, or would you consider that a
consulting job?
