Giving up implies loss and the pain and dissappointment that goes with that
loss. There is nothing else that will help your mother. All treatments for
acute leukaemia are extreme and are often as likely to cause premature death
from the side effects as win a remission. This is much more so where first
and second line treatments have failed.
Rather than give up I would suggest you just accept the situation and take
the gain in quality of life that your mum will win from that
decision....however long that may be for.
