I have a plasmacytoma on may lumbar spine. After 5 weeks of radiation, I
have a compressed vertebra, with a fracture. Due to the damage to the
verebra, I was told I cannot have kyphoplasty, or injection of cement. It
was recommended that I have the vertebra removed, and have a titanium basket
inserted. Does anyone have experience with this type of surgery? Were you
able to resume normal activities after surgery? Is there a lot of residual
pain? I'd appreciate any info. Mary
