Perhaps. I know of 2 women who had it done in the later 90's and they are both
still alive and NED. One had it at time of initial dx and was advanced stage
III. The other had a local recurrence after having had chemo and rads (but am
not sure if she had had lumpectomy or mastectomy). I also know of someone who
had it done less than 2 years ago. I know of a 4th -- where the woman died --
however, she was one of the first to have it done and that was in the early
'80's. All were treated at the City of Hope which is not far from where I have
been working over the past couple of years. <end quote>

Any numbers Steph? On how many tried it and how many died (because of it)?
Was it only done in the US?
