You are treading on tragedy, and that has to be done with the care. Those
who are dealing with this devastation may not want to be put under the
magnifying glass of a school project.
If you want to lurk and learn, I might find that acceptable, but some might
not.

My spouse had Alzheimer disease and the course of that is especially
devastating to the caregiver and the patient. I was on a University
accessed caregiver group for a while where I found out we were being
observed by students. They had access to all our shared grief. When some
posted and seemed so unaware of our feelings, I became very angry and
hesitant to post my problems and special journey. I felt the newsgroup and
the university was using us and our Alzheimer journey without our
permission.

I would guess some here might feel the same about their special journey with
cancer treatments.

Just my 2 cents worth.
