Steph......

I'm Barb, an almost twenty two year survivor of stage II breast cancer. I
read here regularly and post once in a while. I am having a stereotactic
breast biopsy later this afternoon, after a routine mammogram found punctate
calcifications. These had been noted for a couple of years, but were more
"apparent" this time around. The BIRAD is 3, and I was told these are
probably benign. Does having a history of bc make these more suspicious?
The biopsy was my idea---didn't think I'd do well with a six month wait
until another mammogram would be done. (Hadn't been asked to have a six
month repeat on the mammogram last year or the year before). Thanks for any
information.

Barb
