I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

Debbee posted to alt.support.cancer in July that her mother had just finished
her radiation therapy.
I guess she'd refused the PEG tube and had been eating "fluids" only.
We haven't heard back from her (but there'd been some confusion/chaos on
alt.support.cancer at that time, it seems to be quietened down now).
Presumably all goes well. I don't know if she's lurking (reading) over there
or is on to healing and doesn't feel she needs the group, or is on the ACOR
list (below).
There is a private ACOR mail list for "Head and Neck"
http://www.acor.org/mailing.html?l=h which you could "join", but if you'd like
to stay with us here, as well, for a bit until you get your specific
diagnosis, perhaps the doctors here would give you their opinion on the
proposed treatment for your cancer.
