Hello there, I was just reading this website
http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/PPI/TypesofCancer/HodgkinsDisease/default.htm
The rate of cure is very encouraging with proper treatment.
Looks to me that the B symptoms that youi describe could be simply treated
by "Kelley" but as you say that did not get rid of the tumour.

I understand that some (Asians) do not want traditional treatment. My
ex-landlady was one of them, but when she started having back pains, she
came to me asking how to treat them. I'm not a doctor, but suggested she
run it by a doctor and if nothing serious was found, made some suggestions
about stretching, heat/cold packs, massage and not climbing up ladders,
because that's when it started. She seemed pleased with that suggestion and
about two months later, she reported that he back pains had really
improved. Point being; not everyone needs medications.

In your wife's situation, one would think that by talking with the right
persons, she might be convinced to try conventional medicine, especially
since she has so much more living to do and so much to live for with the
children so young and a caring husband.. Is there a social worker system in
your local cancer hospital? Perhaps they have someone Asian there who might
relate to your wife? Sometimes they have support groups also where people
of all walks of life and cultures meet to discuss their cancers and
treatments. Perhaps some would share how they got through the treatments;
their regrets, their successes, their failures.
There does seem to be such a group here with 251 subscribers
http://www.acor.org/mailing.html?l=h
One must click on the group, join, then the moderator sends you back a
message telling you how to send and receive messages. Perhaps you could ask
there if there's someone Asian.

Let us know how it goes if you try there.

And also watch for replies here from several doctors. One (Steph) has been
away from the group but should be back very shortly. I was hoping he would
comment about the size of your wife's tumour (and treatment).

If you convince her to get treatment opinions, you may wsh to use Steph's
Questions to Ask (when speaking to doctors) found here

My best wishes to you and your wife,
J
