I hate to think that someone is suffering, Nana.
Have you tried amitriptyline (Elavil) or any of the tricyclics ? Low dose (10 mg
or 25 mg) every night.
Has an analgesic effect independent of its antidepressant activity.
Many (not all) call it a miracle pill. Talk to your doctor about giving it a try
for a month to 6 weeks.
You might have to go to bed earlier/take the pill earlier so you don't feel
groggy in the a.m. (probably varies according to dose).
Or drink strong coffee in the a.m. to fight the groggy.
