lung cancer (update)

Hello,
after a week I would like to update you about the status which is ABSURD for
all (medics and relatives)

For who hasn't read my first post, I have put it below.

The result of the bronchoscopy is nothing tumorous, maybe they haven't come
to the lung.

The CT has discovered not only liver metastasis (the liver is almost owned
by metastasis at all) but also lymphonode inside abdomen and chest.

The status is clearly made worse, it's a super aggressive cancer, running
fast, now she is swollen, a little bit yellow and under a light morphine
therapy.

The scinitigraphy hasn't discovered anything at bones, but liver blood
levels are high (e.g. bilirubin is 5.6)

Unfortunately she can't be operated because of almost destroyed liver and
chemotherapy is difficult.

The hope is in a miracle or ina light chemotherapy which doesn't poison too
much the liver.

On Thursday, a liver biopsy is scheduled to check for the cancer type ...

There is also hope ...

Thanks all for every help or opinion,

Alessandro

OLD POST

Good morning,
kindly I would like to know some opinions from you.

I'm Italian, my mother is 54 and has gone to hospital for increased liver
and widespread pain (diaphragm, liver, flank); after the liver echography
and CT, it's discovered that the liver has widespread metastasis and the
right lung has a dark spot.

Obviously medics have made the bronchoscopy, taken a piece of the "spot" and
are analyzing it.
A possibile assumption is that it could be a lung cancer, or maybe (we hope)
pleurisy or something similar.

But there are lots of strange things (for not a medic like me)

1) she doesn't smoke, she smoked very little when was young (I know, it
isn't sufficient to delete the worse)
2) blood exams are perfect, only transaminase and GGT are high for the
increased liver
3) no temperature
4) apparently good health, except for pains

How can cancer and metastasis be if blood is "clean" ?
Shouldn't cancer with blood without tumoral makers indicate that it's at a
start point ? But aren't metastasis typical of an advanced level ?
Could a tubercolosis (treated perfectly when she was a few months baby) be
linked to the cancer's reasons (weaker lung) ?

In the case of cancer lung, which could be the treatment ? Chemotherapy ?

Thank you very much for each help/opinion

Alessandro
