Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma - Ifosfamide Side Effect

Hello,

My Mother Juanita has Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, the doctor called it diffused
B-Cell (aggressive) She had Chemo last year with Rutoxin and COP without the
H but on the Third Chemo she had some complications with the liver and the
doctors stopped the Chemo. After several CT scan she was fine with the
cancer cells being dormant. But until A month ago the Lymphoma started
appearing again and she felt sick. So last week, she was admitted to the
hospital and had a biopsy done. The doctors suggested an immediate action
of the following the Chemo with Rutoxin with Ice. Everything went well
during the process except about a couple of days ago, The Ifosfamide (the
last chemo drug used) made her really sleepy that she would not wake up.
She was also having some involutary Muscle twitch wherein she would open her
mouth involuntarily (got me worried) The Doctor said that once the
Ifosfamide subsides she should get back to normal. She woke up yesterday
and drank some liquids and ate a few with soup and did a few things with the
OT and PT she also started talking from extreme highs and low and was
cheerfull - you can tell that the drug was still affecting her. Today she
woke up started talking still in a confused state and I told her to get some
rest. After 2 hours, she would not wake up again. She is currently having
a CT scan done and EKG. I just wanted to ask to see if anyone has every
experienced this or know somebody who did. Please let me know of your
stories or expert advise if you have one. In my gutt feeling I think that
the Ifosfamide side effect was too much for her and the doctor
miscalculated. My main concern right now is to get her awake and hopefully
get her out of the confuse state. Thanks for reading my post!

-Amos
