Re: Donate your spare computer power for cancer research

You both might be interested in the services, info & support offered by www.thyca.org. There are both live & email support groups -- with a ton of information, coping tips, sympathy, etc. Since most thycans don't know any other thycans (& many people have never even heard of thyroid cancer, & it's treatment & followup are a bit, well, different from most other cancers), this support has been invaluable to many.
Best wishes.

Thanks, BJ. I will check that group in a minute. Meanwhile, let me share that this has been weird the way it worked out. My wife tripped and hit her head on the steps at my son's house, and had to get 29 stitches. They did a cat-scan to check to see if she hurt her neck, and that's when they spotted a very small tumor. It was checked and found to be malignant, but the doctor has been very reassuring -- basically telling us that this is the most treatable form of cancer, and that we shouldn't be worried about it. I hope he is right, but I can't help being apprehensive. We have been praying very hard, and hoping for the best.
