Hello
X ray chest shots of a man, born 1951, are on
http://kopn.narod.ru/chest
His left kidney with a 4 cm tumor was removed in december 2004. Lymph
nodes in his chest did not grow from the nephrectomy up to October,
2005. He received Roferon (interferon alfa 2) 3ME subcutaneously from
January to March, 2006 everyday in three courses of 10 days with a two
week rest. The Roferon made him weaker, loose 7 kg and cough more;
increased two biggest lymph nodes by 5 mm in his chest. What other
treatments should he try in Moscow, Russia? What is a prognosis for him?
Could try the tyrosine kinase inhibitors, VEGFR-mAb etc such as
sorafenib, imatinib, bevacizumab or temsirolimus. Nexavar (sorafenib) in
particular is being toted as improving survival after phase III trials.
These drugs offer a respite, not a cure of the disease so his prognosis
remains poor.
