Are you just trying to draw attention to this particular story for some
reason?
Scare people away from having treatment?
Cautionary tale about the dangers of treatment?
(vs the dangers of letting it go, perhaps?)
Encourage (more) informed consent?
I'm sure we can find such stories about practically any medical procedure or
treatment -- many of which are "toxic" in some way, otherwise they wouldn't
kill off the bad stuff.
