Re: NEED help with colon cancer issue.

I was having severe pain when passing stoo, that is why we did the
coolonoscopy. Previous 3 scans over last 6 months (CT, PET & MRI) showed
are of difuse activity in same location as diverticula though not
inflamed.. I got three docs that say diverticula will cause that sort of
reading and three that say it won't, that only cancer will light up.
Same tree scans showed a spot of focal activity in the inferiormost part
of colon, near the rectal sigmoid junction. Latest MRI called it a mild
nodular enhancement suspicious of a recurant tumor, especially if it was
nearoriginal tumor site which it was not. Original mass was on right
side ascending colon at cecum. Colonoscopy doc said inside was clean as
a whistle except fr a hemroid issue whch was prolly the culprit causing
the pain. So I have no clue what is lighting up or how to get at it.
Onc. thinks it's cancer coming back on outsde of colon. If that's the
case then it's growing while on chemo which means chemo is a waste of
time.

Latest MRI also found that my prostate was swollen to the upper limit of
normal and had cysts on the right side. No clue what that means, that's
somehing new. Also previous scans showed lymph nodes (plural) in one
lung but they didn't light up, latest MRI only mentioned one lymph node
that was 1cm in size not sure what that means either.

Colon doc says possible that nodular activity on colon could just be
inflamation. Only way to know for sure is laproscopy and biopsy but Onc
already said if they did find new tumor they would not operate because
I''m stage 4. So I guess we just wait & see if it grows.
