You misunderstood me, unless you believe the internet is US-based and
was created by Al Gore..

Al Gore never claimed to create the internet. He did claim to create the
funding enviornment that let the US Defense Dept. create the internet.
That's partly true. The agency that controls the domain names is based in
the US? Did you evern notice how the URIs for US organizations end in .com,
.org, .edu, etc., but in other countries then end with the countries
abbreviation?

While you are correct that the internet is now international, it started as
a US Defence Department project.

I know about ARPANET, thought it was in the 60's, way before Gore's
time..
