A very promising article in Discover Magazine this month was written about
Epigenome research. Basically, whereas the DNA is hard-coded from
conception, the epi-genome is flexible with other stimuli - such as diet /
relative health. That introduces free-will into the pre-destination of DNA.
Moreover, the epi-genome has the switches that make the DNA work.
Researchers have eliminated cancer from specific kinds of mice - not only
for them but for multiple generations. This has huge implications for our
Micky D's fast food junkies - and their grand-children. Eat wisely, indeed.
