question about testing

i'm just wondering what you think of this,,when you are diagnoised with
cancer (any kinda cancer) don't you think it would be wise to get your
whole body checked (MRI,Cat Scan,Bone Scan) to make Absolutely sure the
cancer hasn't spread to any other part of your body..
