I never have a dripping nose, even in -20 Celsius. I have crusts of the
mucous in my nose. I do not feel that my nose congestion increases from
my pillow.
My nose congestion increases in my low-motion states, for example at
night on a side that I lie on or at work then I sit in front of my
computer whole day. My nose congestion increases also in a day after
diving in a sea with my nose open or after walking without a cap at
freezing temperatures.

Hello Dima,
Did they give steroid injection to your father's hip joint?
Did it help his pain, please?

Is it dry and dusty (and/or smokey) where you live and work?
I think a lot of places (of work) are too crowded (with people and machines) and the air
gets stale, especially in winter when all sealed up for low heat loss.
I like to replace the air with window fan or furnace fan, but sometimes employers don't
like that idea.
I'm sorry I don't know a solution for you.
