We have a lady friend who has lymphoma. She was successfully treated for
it and is now in remission about 6 months. Now she as been diagnosed
with breast cancer (i forget the exact name but it's the more common
variety) her oncologist does not know what to do because the two most
effective chemos that are most commonly used for breast cancer were
already used to the max on her to treat the lymphoma so they don't know
what to give her. She's just had a lumpectomy and I think some lymph
nodes were positive also for the breast cancer. She can't find a
clinical trial becasue they won't accept people who have two distinctly
different cancers. Any suggestions???
Locoregional radiotherapy. Plus hormones if she is er+ve
Estrogen receptor +ve cancers respond to hormone therapy like tamoxifen much
better.
