A friend of mine in Canada had a biopsy today for lung cancer and is not

Does this kind of thing take that long in the U.S.?

Sounds like the pathologist (in the boonies) went on holiday. Bummer..

Mabida, how long does it take for the pathology report to come back?
Everything I have read says a couple weeks?
I don't have your training.

Unless the lab is backed up, path reports are usually available within a
week. It depends a bit on the processing which has to be done on the tissue.

Yep, a week seems to be fairly typical all over the world..
