The cure rates with radiation and surgery are exactly the same.
Surgery is a better treatment for some patients, RT better for others.
Personally, I try not to give surgical opinions to my patients, but
suggest they speak to one of my urologists. I don't think urologists
should be giving opinions about radiotherapy. A prospective patient should
get an opinion from both.
The commonest treatment approach here (BC) is neoadjuvant hormone therapy
followed by RT for most patients with T2 tumours or more advanced.
