Two days ago, the dermatologist examined my skin with the dermatoscope
(some highly advanced computer system), and found 3 dysplastic naevi.
Scheduled the new exam for three months, but said they could be
removed right away as well. What is the better option? I have to say
that I am a light-skinned 36 years old male with green eyes, easily
get sunburns, with a family history of malignant melanoma (uncle died
from it).
Oncologist's advice would be much appreciated.
Have you ever met anyone who had a skin cancer removed who didn't need
additional skin cancers removed after that? I haven't. That's because
the removal of the first one activates others to appear.
I've also talked to people who got rid of skin cancers using tea tree
oil - even ones that had been scheduled for surgery. I use tea tree
oil to get rid of a suspicious irregular 'triangle' on my cheek. it
has come back many times because I haven't attended to it regularly -
when it goes away, I forget - But it has been gone now for a few
months.
Brightwinger, thank you for your reply, but I have to say that I don't
believe in those mumbo-jumbo medicines for mole removal. Root of the
mole has to be removed, as I understand - and that can be done
successfully only with the surgical excision. Not to mention that HP
verification is mandatory, suspicious or not.
