Hello all,

My father was operated for larynx cancer in Nov and he has attended
just one session of radiotherapy. After that he is feeling bit uneasy
and also suffering from nausea. Coz of this, his diet has gone down.

We were told by the doctors that this situation comes only after
couple of weeks of radio.

We are not able to understand why this happened to him in first
session itself.

Can you please let us know, as to what can we give him as food now.
Thanks in advance for all your suggestions and advices in advance.

cheers

Hello Milind,
There's 460 subscrbers to the ACOR (head and Neck cancer) mail list.
Please join with them by clicking on the "Join or leave the list (or
change settings)" line and they will give you very good tips aboiut eating
for your father. After you "join", someone will email you to tell you
that you can send your first message. They probably have a "Frequently
asked questions" they can send you, along with support from the ones
who've been treated who can tell you what their nutritionist's advised and
what worked and what not to do.
So "join", send your message as soon as they "okay" it, then wait for the
responses. It's Christmas, so might be a bit slower than usual, but i
imagine someone checks messages daily.

Also ask them about dental care, and whether he's been checked before
start of treatment and speech therapist.
Best wishes
J
