Tiny Nodeular thickening of Proximal Trachea? (cat Scan help please)

Hi Everyone,
I hope this is the right group to post in.
Please tell me where it is more appropriate to post if it is not.
I wanted to know if I can please get opinions about the abnormalities
shown from my cat scan.
I was ordered a couple of tests to check the thyroid nodule, that I
can understand but I was also ordered a complete knock-out type
Bronchoscopy and am curious if anyone thinks
it is worth going through that for these findings.
I was told from my doctor that it was needed because the samples COULD
be indicative of cancer. I read that Tracheal cancer is extremely rare
though, more so than the rare thyroid cancer.
Two (supposed) doctors from another website think it's fairly normal
findings that really did not warrant further testings.
Also, does anyone know the Minimum a bronchoscopy costs? I was just
told "very expensive" from my medical clinic!


The abnormalities noted are:
*Heterogegenous (typo?) attentionuation of thyroid gland is noted
with dominant left lobe nodule measuring 1cm.
*Questionable tiny nodular mucosal thickening of proximal trachea.
* Minimal lingular pleural parenchymal scarring is noted.
They also say no dominant lung nodules, masses, or suspicious focal
parenchymal consolidation. (Could that mean there may be SOME, they
are just not dominant?)
I read that most thyroid nodules are benign but should there be any
concern for the thickened trachea along with it?
What exactly is thickened trachea please? Neoplasm, lesion, etc? My
doctor said it was located in the middle of the trachea and drew a
picture of my trachea with a BUMP in the middle of the
inside lining. If there really was a Bump wouldn't that have said
"lesion" or "tumor" on my Cat scan report?
