The King James version contains enough translation errors that people
who quote from it run the risk of putting out a different message than
the original text had.

The bible is a book. You mean "the men who wrote the bible promise...."
and that's just not enough for me. They wrote that they were
infallible. That was clever of them.

Dude, there are lots and lots and lots of studies of slavery if you or
they were interested in some facts.

Christians lie all the time. One of the really bad things about this
country right now is the number of people in power or positions of
authority who say "trust me, I believe in Jesus" and then lie with
abandon. For example, Rush Limbaugh lied about his drug addiction and
his adultery. We were lied to about Iraq by people who call themselves
christians. These are all simple facts and not in dispute. The church
itself lies to people about what the bible says about homosexuality.
People in our government are publishing lies about AIDS. These are just
a few of the facts that lead me to say that there's no evidence to make
me think that just because someone calls themselves a christian that
they're more likely to be telling the truth. Just the opposite, in my
experience.
