I've you're running the war the way this one is being run, you're going
to end up caving in eventually. But I don't remember that being more
than a made-up bogeyman for advertising for Bush. The real issue that
people who cared talked about is that this war is being run really
poorly, more people are dying than should, and we're slowly losing it.
Look at Afganistan for advance warning of what's going to happen next.
Something has to change other than the media just repeating what the
goverment says: everything is fine, pay no attention to the man behind
the curtain.

It would also be helpful to look at the recent russian experience in
that part of the world. Running this war the way the russians ran
theirs - so that they eventually pulled out - just doesn't make good
sense, but that's what we're doing.

It's not really useful to compare Adolf Hitler & Germany, who took over
much of Europe, to Saddam Hussein and Iraq, who were effectively
militarily contained and crippled at the time they were invaded.
