Subject: War Crimes trial for George W. Bush in absentia
The best news I had today was the fact that George W. Bush was to be tried in
absentia for war crimes Cairo, Egypt. The Principal Prosecutor is Ramsey Clark,
former Attorney General of the United States. But the committee also included
former Algerian President Ahmad Ben Bella, and former Malaysian Prime Minister
Mahathir Mohamed.
Nelson Mandela former South African President was to attend, but his health may
not permit him. Hans Blix of Sweden a former UN weapons inspector in Iraq will
also be in attendance.
Of course this raises the issue of the US and NATO Air Forces bombing of
apartment buildings, churches, radio & television stations, hospitals, passenger
trains and buses, and last but not least the deliberate bombing of the Embassy
of Republic of China in Belgrade, Serbia, on orders from US President William
Jefferson Clinton.
For these, separate trials in absentia should definitely be held because, so
far, the US and its European allies have arrested and tried many Serbian and
Croatian leaders for war crimes, including Slobodan Milosovic President of
Yugoslavia.
If all of those Serbian and Croatian leaders can be tried by a US Kangaroo
Court, surely US and NATO Air Force personnel ... and indeed the president of
the United States of America should be tried for war crimes.
But the point is that if George W. Bush is to be tried in absentia, then why
not his cronies as well. Take Vice President *** Cheney, Secretary of State
Colin Powell, advisers Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle, besides military
officers that carried out the illegal invasion of Iraq. There must be no let up
on those that wiped out whole Iraqi towns and villages in the US lust for
obtaining Iraqi oil.
If those who helped George carry out his wanton and callous attack on Iraq are
not tried at the same venue in Cairo, Egypt, justice will not have been served.
Because the US has made the International War Crimes Court at The Hague a
weapon to be used on its enemies ... but not to try itself or its friends.
The above, clearly denotes a very little known chapter in Latin American
history. One US administration after another tried Latino patriots in kangaroo
courts that they set in various parts of Latin America ... usually condemning
people to death.
* Even Ernesto Che Guevara-Lynch did not get a trial ... but was summarily
executed on orders from Washington D.C.
So much for American justice.
Thus, any Americans caught spying in Latin America for the Bush regime should
expect no less than a death sentence.
The US government has made a mockery of the justice system ... and it must now,
pay the price for its errors.
