I do not agree with your Rheumy's statement about your being dead by now
if your co-infections were not properly treated.
I don't neccesarily agree with it either but she was more refering to
the Erlichia I think. She said that Erlichia is a nasty infection thats
deadly if not properly treated and it would have killed me by now.. I
don't know. The only thing I do know is I"m confused.

Viral diseases are complex. Because everyone has a different body
chemistry, everyone is affected in different ways. Viruses cause
secondary infections and a myriad of other health problems, affecting
balance, vision, hearing, skin problems, tremors, muscle weakness,
anxiety, bone and joints, etc. Until there's serious viral research, we
won't know if the same virus causes Lyme Disease, Lou Gherig"s Disease,
MS, ALS, Fibromyalga, Chronic Fatigue, Alzheimers, Essential tremors,
Dystonia, etc.
