Weisman, you seem to be suggesting that peer reviewed science is so
pure
that it is beyond criminal process-(I am not refering to Steere here).
If that's what you mean (and I don't want to put words in your mouth,
like you do to others incessantly), it's so arrogant its almost
unbelievable.
According to folks (Marcia Angell sp) who have some serious insight
into the corruption of the medical peer review process, you "peers and
colleagues"
have some very serious issues to deal with.
And of course, none of this has anything to do with Dole/Bayh, which
has turned universities and scientists into enterpreneurs. Peer
reviewed pursuit of the truth, my ass...that's long gone.
