I live in Norway.
Norway has been voted by the UN, 3 years in a row, as "the world's best
county to live in".
We are a major oil producer and in spite of enormous wealth (Norway has no
budget deficit like the US but a huge surplus of hundreds of billions of USD
and there only live 4.5 million people here), Norway has no LLMD's or even
basic health facilities like a SPECT scanner. In effect, Norway still
behaves like the agricultural society it used to be, uptil recently.

Yes. You can email me on franciad@online.no

That is good.
You would be helped with double that dose.
You could just work with your GP.
Say that you believe that his/her treatment is the right treatment, that you
have read doxy is good (actually just about the best) but that 200 mg/day is
not much for Lyme, especially not when you are above average weight.

Say that please, would you like to temporarily up the dose to 400 mg/day and
when you "herx" and feel better after 6 weeks, can it please be kept on 400
mg/day. Believe me, this will most likely help a lot.

I deteriorate on 200 mg/day and even 300 mg/day, but 450 mg/day slowly makes
me better (although not cured by a long shot).

That is very important.

Very good. This doc knows what he is doing.
I noticed that especially Magnesium is important because it seems that high
dosages of doxy somehow rob you from the Magnesium and that is bad for your
heart especially.

There really isn't much more that can be done in case of chronic Lyme.

Focus should be on:

1- Get the right antibiotic in the right dosage.
200 mg/day of doxy is the right abtibiotic but too low a dosage for any
adult.

2. Get supporting treatment, especially to counteract the negative side
effects of antibiotics.
You need extra vitamin B12 and K because the antibiotics kill the good
bacteria in your colon that make B12 & K.

3. Prevent Candida. That can become a problem when you take antibiotics.
You prevent Candida by good oral hygiene, living yoghurt products without
sugar and raw salads that you prepare yourself mixed with acidophilus
capsules.

Hope this helps,
Frank
