So then, why not recognize the nature of the problem and direct our
energies towards it...meet it head-on instead of running around trying
to protect "our" doctors from the effects of the problem?

If I were the Great Lyme Oprah who gets to issue "action alerts"...I
would issue an "action alert" to get Fauci and Gerberding together and
ask them why in the holy hell they just can't seem to get any research
done on the Brorson cystic stuff.

This just amazes me... that US researchers have pretty much ignored
this. Tell me if I'm wrong here, Greg, but wouldn't this, if
true...provide a pretty persuausive explanation of WHY we can't see
motile spirochetes after the 21 days...and sort of cast "reasonable
doubt" onto the entire theory? Is this, maybe why it isn't being
pursued? Some would rather not look at this?

>From long-range, it seems to me that a great deal of the direction of
the advocacy comes from the infamous Burrascano statement and the
impulse to "follow the money"...through the insurance industry and
managed care.

Well, what if Burrascano just got it almost entirely wrong?

What if the critical factor behind the Lyme puzzle is the agenda from
within the US government...and all those who are emphasizing the
financial theories of conspiracy are just diverting attention from the
real issues...the proper focus.

(And...by the way...realism dictates that we should also recognize
that some of us could use some protection from "our" doctors...there
have been a couple of prize-winning horror stories over at Lymenet
recently...inflicted by LLMDs on their own patients).
