Just for the record: Several years ago, after the resignation of
previous president Kerry Fordyce, members of the Lyme Disease
Association of New Jersey begged Pat Smith to accept a leadership
position in LDANJ because of her experience, track record of
achievements, and ability to work with others. Subsequently, LDANJ
decided to become national in focus, becoming LDA. This decision was
welcomed by many active groups in the Lyme community since we felt a
need for an umbrella group we could support and work with. Since then
many groups have joined LDA as affiliates and chapters. LDA has already
funded dozens of research projects and with its affiliates has raised
over $3.5 million to fight Lyme disease. Their motto is "Find A Cure."
To find out more about LDA, visit their website

>>From personal experience, Pat Smith is a straight-shooting,
hard-working, no-nonsense, skilled and dedicated patient advocate and
it is my honor to work with her and with other LDA affiliates.

Well I can't say that you didn't give us all a xmas gift Phyllis with this load of hooey! Of course, given your ridiculously pollyanish spin on EVERYTHING, who could be surprised? But it is absolute and utter bull***. Now could you please be specific about the following: 1. Pat's "experience" that qualified her to lead anything? And particularly a disease advocacy non profit Lyme disease organization? 2. Her "track record of achievements" SpecificallY WHAT? 3. Her "ability to work with others" ??? In what context, who said this,. WHO did the "begging" etc. and by "members of the LDA" since there were no "members" at the time LDA new jersey NOT being a membership organization, who the F are you talking about? And I'll say that this is NOT what happened AT ALL and I don't know where you heard of this? NEXT: >Subsequently, LDANJ > decided to become national in focus, becoming LDA. This decision was > welcomed by many active groups in the Lyme community since we felt a > need for an umbrella group we could support and work with. 1. Who appointed you spokesperson? Who exactly do you mean by "we" in the above statement? And who is "many active groups"? Why not work with LDF? >then > many groups have joined LDA as affiliates and chapters. "Many groups" have joined? How "many" including your group? Are you referring to the "many" of the FIVE listed on the website, unless you want to count LymeNUT? Which ain't an "active support group" by any means, it is a bunch of total whack jobs on the FLASH board. Not to mention the kansas city group or the national capital group who brought us the WONDERFUL Nightline episode and the comparison of treating Lyme a bacterial infection with antibiotics while the germ persists to drinking urine as a therapy! Great job monte and greg skall! Yeah that's ALMOST as wonderful for Lymeland as your wonderful work on the chronic Lyme klempner study phyllis. Didn't you get the message Phyllis: YOU'RE FIRED! >LDA has already > funded dozens of research projects and with its affiliates has raised > over $3.5 million to fight Lyme disease. Mostly money misspent spending based on who's a favorite of "the pat" NOT based on scientific or medical merit at all. Some of the most questionable and dubious projects have been funded. AND too much money spent on this legislative bull***, including hiring lobbyists to fight the LDF as much if not more than fight for passage of this potentially disastrous bill! What a waste! > Their motto is "Find A Cure." Gee that is SO inspiring. >To find out more about LDA, visit their website > www.lymediseaseassociation.org. OR if you want to skip the self serving self aggrandizing BULL*** just come here and we'll tell you the TRUTH. >>From personal experience, Pat Smith is a straight-shooting, > hard-working, no-nonsense, skilled and dedicated patient advocate and > it is my honor to work with her and with other LDA affiliates. She's a freaking self serving egotistical battleaxe bent on serving her own ego notwithstanding what is good for the cause IN MY OPINION! GOOD WORK! God with people like you working "for" us, do we even need enemies?
