MOre: NOw because some of them have met tinshitforbrains and it has
gotten some local paper to publish some of its completely inaccurate
nonsense under the pen name "lucy barnes" it is "ok" and anyone else
that they think they've met is "ok" but now the internet message board
is only okay for those who don't dare to dissent from the nonsense OR
who a few of the in crowd clique of self important ninny lunatics who
run that cyberasylum are "ok" but newbies are to be distrusted because,
after all, there's a HUGE conspiracy against them! LOL

Ok so zip zip is now under attack on the LymeNUT board. This really
merits a sociological/psychological study!
Anyway, you'll see from this and the follow up threads or related
threads I'm going to post, that zip is suspected of being, variously:
o a troll (oh my);
o a NY MD who isn't an "llmd";
o a Female psychiatrist? LOOL;
o some sort of researcher or scientist because he or she dares to speak
with some intelligence and knowledge;
o against Lymies and llmds (though why exactly is unclear);
It is just amazing. Oh yeah, and zip zip DARED to attack "good posters"
and god forbid tinass (that freaking hillbilly moron).
Amazingly no one has (yet) accused him of being me, or arinelli or
chuck p adams or mcsweegan.
And the LymeNUTTER's "troll patrolers" are busy ferreting out the
suspected trolls, busily looking up all their past postings, "outing"
them for the dissenters they are, and censoring the board to be rid of
anyone who doesn't preach from the same page in their hymnal!
Check out this URL it explains it ALL!!!
Sort of reminds me of the twilight zone episode where a bunch of
neighbors start to suspect each other of something unstated and the
whole town goes nuts!
Yep people out there who really could care less that your sick.
Seeya later slick a_weisman

Treepatrol,
I have 2 points here:
1. I defend zipzip.
2. I am amazed by all these accusations and paranoia on this
messageboard, expressed in this very thread, the thread "Paranoia on
the forum" and all those threads about so-called trolls. I am not
referring to any person specifically.
It's interesting that some people who praise TINCUP, are questioning
anonymous persons. Maybe they don't realise that TINCUP is also quite
anonymous.

you'd be better off being suspicious of the Easter bunny.
what's the nicest way i could say it?
you can believe whatever you want, that still doesn't make it true.
there is such a thing as false belief. we are mortals, and imperfect
creatures afterall. fallacies are inherent.
lastly this thread, as far as i'm concerned, is nothing more than mere
highschool hallway gossip.
i am not participating further in this irresponsible shenanigans.
grow up and stop acting like 13 yr olds.

It has also crossed my mind that many people who were responsible for
the attacks somehow benefit financially from sales of questionable
alternative treatments.

Treepatrol, thanks for posting that information from scimed so we know
people over there are copying our posts onto their board. I'm glad to
see it has a link back here because I want to go on record as saying
a_weisman is a huge coward. Otherwise, a_weisman would have posted his
statements here instead of copying and pasting what we have said to a
board where he felt safe to make his comments behind our back,
unanswered. It's rather funny to see him struggle to understand why
those links were posted. It's very easy and very, VERY simple to
understand but, it looks like he's rooting for much deeper meanings and
missing the most obvious point.
Trevor, thanks for posting the links you did. I got what you were
saying. I've had an uneasy feeling since I came back but I didn't want
to stir anything up.
To ZipZip, this board has zero problem with having intellecutals and
scientist on this board - if they are real. I enjoy Duramatter's posts
and I do not believe I have ever seen him attacked. I also know of an
MD who posts here who has not been attacked. There are others as well
who are embraced. However, these people are real and have been
forthcoming about who they are, we know they are reputable. While you
post in a matter that would suggest you to be one or the other, I don't
believe it to be so. If you were, you would be more helpful. In fact, I
find that you often misdirect or mislead people by sending them down
the wrong path. I have overlooked you but now that this has come to the
surface, I question your agenda and your background. People, esp sick
people, do not acquire the scientific knowledge you profess in such a
short period of time. You have more than someone would acquire simply
pulling things off the internet. Yet, you claim no background in
science...
I have not been comfortable with you for a long time. When I would
respond to someone you took a good deal of effort to twist my responses
instead of responding to the question that was originally asked by the
poster of the subject. Repeatedly. When I finally had enough of it,
being baited by you, you acted like I had taken things wrong. I had
not.
Frankly, and I say this to anyone trolling around here or any board
populated by people dealing with an illness, I do not see how you can
get a kick out of inhabiting these boards unless you are completely
mentally ill. A healthy person would be out living their life, having
fun and enjoying social interactions with others. There is no way I
would be here if I was healthy, there are a LOT more fun and
interesting things to do than lay in bed in front of a computer. Boards
such as Lymenet are for those struggling with physical illnesses,
people who are very sick and often bedridden. This board exists to
provide a connection to others suffering from the same illness as well
as a forum where we can have some form of social life. It would take
someone seriously mentally ill to come here and start trouble or to
take our conversations and post them to another board without our
permission.
Personally, I would be more than willing for Lymenet to become a forum
where you have to give personal information to Lou B or somene else -
which has to be verified first - in order to sign up. I'd have zero
problem with making that change as well as keeping the forum hidden
from the general public.
Angie
PS Rashilnov (sp?) is legit. Danq met with him a long time ago. He
truly is homeless and does have Lyme. He's been pushed around pretty
hard by the system so I understand. He's not a troll.

Martijn,
I've met Tincup. She has been to Lyme related events on the East Coast.
There are a number of us who know her and we know she is not a troll.
mcpucho,
Not worth commenting.
Areneli,
I don't know of anyone selling any products and if they are, they are
few and far between. Most are too sick to hold down a job of any form,
much less one in sales.
Thanks for the concern.

So you see, being anonymous or not, doesn't say ANYTHING about the
reliability or the goodness of the person.
People should be VERY careful with accusations and stop questioning
people because of their anonymity.

Martijn,
You are wrong. It's not just that I have met Tincup, I have also read
articles she's written to newspapers in order to educate the readers on
Lyme Disease. Tincup is NOT a troll. That, I can guarantee.

I would be a lot more advantageous for all of us if this forum would
rather serve to clarify opinions and not members.
Why suddenly, by the mere fact that somebody met Tincup in person would
make her right every time she posts something. (forgive me Tincup, I am
just using you as an example, no offence).
I am sure that even the smartest of us will write blunders on
occasions, and the stupidest come up with something extraordinary
smart. So there is a forum to correct things or argue opinions.
The idea with members verification is just TOTALLY wrong. It leads to
creation of ‘higher cast’ members that are always right and lower cast
that may occasionally post something but God forgive – too many
annoying questions.
