Hey guys, I could spend a lot of time at the library looking this up on
my own, or I could save time and ask here. What I am interested in now
are basic facts about the molecular biology of Borrelia species other
than Borellia burgdorferi. By which I mean hermsii, etc., you know the
stuff that causes relapsing fever and things like this. In particular,
I am interested now in the genetic organization of these bugs.
Burgdorferi has I believe 9 circular plasmids, 12 linear plasmids, and
a linear chromosome. What about other borrelia? Also interested in
worldwide distribution of hermsii. Any other information about
comparative cell biology or evolution would also be appreciated. Thanks.
