Easy answer:

NONE.

It was a movie. All death was simulated. Most of the "vietnamese"
soldiers probably weren't even Viet Namese.

Another math question: How many bullets does it take to kill the hero
in any movie or tv show? (remember Miami Vice--the bad guys would shoot
thousands of bullets at Crockett and Tubbs and never even graze
them--on average twenty to fifty guys armed with automatic weapons
couldn't kill the two cops armed with handguns.

So the answer is: INFIINTE It takes infinite bullets and they still
don't kill the heros
