Look I am not hesitant to criticize any and all of the major Lyme
groups on lots of grounds. Including how their money is spent. But I
don't think that a single one of them is or ever has been involved in
enriching themselves with donations made for the purpose of helping
others.
I don't think that you can extrapolate from one unfortunate example.
As critical of ldf and lda and others as I have been, I just don't
think that anyone is pocketing a lot of money by fraud (an attempt by
lisa and kathLOON to do something similar raising money for themselves
only was revealed by members of this group before they were succesful).
If you feel strongly about this, you should consider reporting the
incident to whatever group sponsored the fundraisers and/or to the
proper authorities. I'm not suggesting that you should do that; I'm
just saying that it is one option open to you.
I don't think anyone here supports anything like this.
