Re: More on Klempner's deceptiveness

I think you're confusing criteria here...while lyme is diagnosed
clinically, supposedly at least, the WB criteria are for determining
positivity or negativity for any blood serology in lyme disease, not
for research or surveillance purposes only.

nowhere on the CDC info for wb criteria does it state that these
criteria are only for the interpretation of WB's for research or
surveillance purposes.

positive serology is required for a surveillance case unless EM is
seen.

IDSA and steere and others in their paradigms require positive WB's -
especially late stage lyme where a positive IgG WB is needed.

while this may not be a good way of diagnosing, for all practical
purposes that is how the vast majority of american MDs diagnose lyme -
with the two stage testing mentioned above. why? because that's what
steere and others write about in medical texts and lecture about when
they go on their little PR tours. don't fool yourslef- the two stage
criteria is applied by american medicine (except llmds) generally to
the diagnosis of lyme.

only when pressed, such as in legal depositions, do prevaricators like
sigal and steere admit to the contrary.

positive or equivocal elisas require confirmation.
