is opening up a book on Microbiology

Torturo and someone and someone
leafing
idly through the index to my disease
and looking at the pages
expecting
disappointment

but

instead
in perfect little black and white letters
seeing life
seeing,
"The bacterium can move 100 times it's own body length in 1 second."
seeing,
"If not treated promptly, it can require a great deal of antibiotics."
seeing what I know
will have people walking again
