There is hope. In fact things can be reversed.
After 5 years, I have ASCENDED to the level many are at now, I now have pain
everywhere, fatigue, heart rythm irregularities etc.
Before that, I thought I was going to die any second :)

The good news is that you can get cured at this stage, not of Lyme itself,
but of most of the nasty symptoms.
This DOES NOT depend on "the person" or "the strain"!

When you are not treated now, get treatment right away.

Minocycline and amoxicillin are the antibiotics you should be prescribed.
IMO.
I am not a doctor.

Foolish of them.
Foolish of you to have not done anything about it for all those years too.

> active lyme. I take enough pills to make me controllable, not cured.

It's much better to take antibiotics than symptom relievers.

Don't despair.
My IQ is slowly rising again. I am sure of that, as code I previously wrote
when I was healthy and I did not understand 2 years ago, suddenly makes
sense to me again and I can even improve upon it.

Code I wrote when I was quite ill now looks like *** to me and I quickly
improve it. (I am a programmer).

Not too good a protocol.
Try the Dresdner protocol instead.

Tetracycline is the only antibiotic in that family with poor
bbb-penetration, although some swear by it.
I would use Minocycline with Hydrochloroquine instead. Be prepared for a
massive herx!

I know what you are going through.
You need to get treatment exactly like I suggested.
And soon, IMHO.
I am not a doctor.

IMHO you have a dangerous, raging infection of the meninges and brain, or at
keast the capillaries in the brain.
The SPECT testifies to that, in combination to the symptoms and your
positive tests and symptom-history during IV treatment.

No, it WILL work, only in your case it will take years to get to "normal"
again.
Ordinary cheap mail order antibiotics from China or India will do, purchased
over the Internet.
I am not a doctor and of course I can't tell you ans should not tell you to
do this :)

IMO you will die in less than a decade when you don't get treated. So you
better get treated ASAP.
Of course I am not a doctor, it's a layman's opinion :)
