Actually in aggregate they represent potentially tremendous commercial
value and have been associated with hundreds of millions in revenue in
the business plans and grant proposals written by the scientists
themselves; many of these plans are on file, in the public domain, at
NIH. For this reason what you say above is not correct --RATHER the
point is that it is the same in EVERY disease. Lyme is not a special
case. Biomedicine is awash in conflict of interest, of that there is no
doubt.
