Minocycline can cause a lupus like syndrome HOWEVER the symptoms of
Babesiosis, another tick-borne disease which can be transmitted at the
same time as Lyme, can match those of lupus as well!!! I would have her
evaluated for Babesiosis- people can test negative- and it would make
sense that one emerges when the other is treated. That happened with
me and Lyme- when I was treated for the Ehrlichiosis the Lyme become
predominant with Babs thrown in- there was a change in presentation
when the Ehrlicihiosis was treated and again when the Lyme was treated
and the Babs- one disease can supress or dominate-
Antibiotics are the only thing that tends to work well in my experience
except one local guy used cats claw WITH colostrum!! He was already
pretty well though-
Artemesia ia an herbal treatment for Babesiosis available online at the
Dr. Zhang site- however if she does have it- which she may not-
treatment can cause irritability to the extreme!!
