In MiQ 12 2000 Lyme Borreliosis, B. Wilske et al. I found the following:
Recombinant antigen blot:
"p41int is the central variable region of the flagellin gene with a
molecular weight of 14000 Da."
Recombinant diagnostic proteins:
"p41int (an internal, non cross-reactive fragment of the flagellum
protein with a molecular weight of 14000)."
"Recombinant flagellin is strongly cross-reactive and should thus only
be used as a truncated protein (p41int)"
Is this what you mean with genus-specific flagellin?
.
