Tetracycline does not enter the blood-brain barrier, but it has greater
intracellural penetration than doxy.
Meaning, you would have to take around 5 grams of doxy to achieve the same
effect. It's not just tissue concentrations at work, also the MICS are
different.
With an LD50 of 2.5 g/kg in poultry, we can assume it's safe to take a few
grams in one go.
Doxy causes tissue damage so it's prudent to mix it with food.
