I'd like to welcome new visitors to sci.med.lyme. You will find
many interesting threads contained herein, some of which discuss lyme
disease-related issues, and some which do not.

Unfortunately, this site has recently been infested with several
trolls, none of whom make noteworthy or incisive contributions to the
discussions, all of whom are to be avoided, as they frequently resort
to obscenity, verbal abuse, and other unpleasant methods in order to
create the negative, divisive atmosphere upon which they thrive.

The most prominent of these trolls have of late been posting under
the screen-names "derdrittemann2@yahoo" and, aptly enough,
"mockingbird". These individuals have been provisionally identified as
disgraced employees of the US department of health and human services.
Both of them were involved in a bizarre series of unapproved
proctological experiments which took place at NIH in the early 90's,
and in the resultant scandal they were first disciplined and then
reassigned to menial jobs such as carrying trash, serving coffee, and
cleaning toilets. Because of this, they now have oodles of spare time
to spend plaguing newsgroup message boards with their sick twisted
sadistic prevarications and intrigues in which they engage {apparently}
for the sole purpose of satiating the depraved needs of their
fantastic, megalomaniacal egos. We have managed to trace their postings
via wireless digital forensic technology employed by a certified
network expert, and are in the process of notifying someone who can do
something about it. Until then, however, you are advised to avoid these
perfidious miscreants.

And, while we're on the subject, you are counseled to steere clear
of the following lesser troll identities:

"Chuck P Adams", "oklahoma redneck", and, most importantly, the variety
of identities utilized by an insidious dangerous deluded homophobic
racist confessed homosexual glory hole proponent *** lunatic, who
commonly posts from the email address mockingbirdstl@xxxxxxxx
